Retired NPD sergeant Aguiar saves baby girl |
(Dec. 30, 2009) It was the feel-good story of the year on the island. Retired Nantucket police ser geant David Aguiar was credited in July with saving the life of a 14-month-old baby girl who had stopped breathing after falling into a pool on Cliff Road.

He heard the call for medical assistance come over his police scanner as he was driving down Cliff Road and sprang into action.
